As summer slowly approaches its last days (although not slow enough we think), it’s easy to spend time worrying about gathering school supplies, making sure Fall clothing still fits the kids, and sneaking in one last trip to the beach. Here at Sun & Earth we have started looking forward to Labor Day barbecues to keep us as bright and cheery as ever!
Since Labor Day is dedicated to celebrating the achievements of workers in the United States, we thought it would be great to celebrate the hard workers at Sun and Earth through featuring their favorite summer BBQ foods!
Amanda Ricci- Marketing Director -“Grilled white fish with a spicy marinade. Throw it in a tortilla with some cabbage and Guacamole for delicious fish tacos! Add cheese if you dare!”
Will Diak- Shipping and Receiving Manager– “Organic grass-fed beef burger with chopped onions, chopped mushrooms and a dash of Cajun seasoning! The mushrooms absorb the flavor and really accentuate the meal.”
Robert Guzman- Purchasing Manager– “I like spicy ribs with grilled potatoes. The spicier the better, go big or go home!”
Howard Levine– Vice President– “Chicken and Ribs with my homemade sauce. It’s my top-secret recipe, can’t share it!”
Joseph Levine- Chief Operation Officer- “Ribs and wings with my dad’s home made sauce. Even though we’re having this on Labor Day, I could have it every day”
Jani Levine- Owner– Chicken Wingettes, juicy and all you need to add is BBQ sauce. Then to spice it up hot sauce and blue cheese dressing!! Another favorite is whole salmon filet on a plank. Add sugar and spice. BBQ for 45 minutes. Delicious!!
Valerie Custer- Accounting and Human Resources- “My favorite meal is burgers on a charcoal grill with white sweet corn on the cob! That’s my actual favorite meal ever so we will absolutely be having that meal on Labor Day.”
