Community Partner of the Month: Walk for Autism

For the month of March 2017, we are excited to announce our first community partnership with The Kelberman Center's 10th Annual Walk for Autism in Booneville, NY. We recently received an email from a proud customer, Jennifer Holper, who wanted us to share this event with the Sun & Earth community. Please join us in supporting Jennifer and her family as they walk for Autism.

Dear Friends and Sun & Earth,

I love your products. Between having a child with food allergies and chemical sensitivities, to having one with autism with sensory issues, there are not many products we can use in our household. Your dish soap is the only one we use.

One in 68 children is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder, now the fastest-growing developmental disability in the country. Early intervention is key in diagnosis and treatment of this disorder. The Kelberman Center, an affiliate of Upstate Cerebral Palsy, provides preschool, school–age and adult services, training and consultation to families and professionals working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

The Walk for Autism, a community walk presented by The Kelberman Center, will be held this April 29, 2017 in Boonville, New York. Autism not only affects individuals diagnosed, but also those closest to them. The walk’s mission is to promote understanding and knowledge of autism and to raise necessary funds for autism-related services. The Kelberman Center is at the forefront of services for autism in Central New York and all funds raised by the walks will stay in our community.

As we celebrate our 10th year hosting this event, we would like to take this opportunity to ask you to participate in this outstanding event by donating an item for our auction . Your support of the Walk for Autism will let the many families touched by autism know that you share in our commitment to raise awareness and enhance autism services. For your gift, you will receive appropriate acknowledgement the day of the event.
Thank you for your consideration - your support is crucial as we take steps together to raise awareness and acceptance of people with differing abilities.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
